Description

Ivar Aasen-tunet is a visitor center featuring the Norwegian philologist and poet Ivar Aasen, that founded one of the two official written languages in Norway. The center was opened in 2000 and is located at the home place of Aasen in Volda. In 2008 the building was awarded the Houen Foundation Award, the most prestigious Norwegian architecture price.
