Description

Preus museum originated as a private collection, but was bought by the Norwegian state and turned into a national museum of photography. The museum is located to a military storage dating from 1864, and Fehn was commisioned in 1998 to repurpose the fourth floor of the building for exhibitions and a library. Fehn took great care to preserve the old building, and the museum is fitted inside the existing structure. The museum was finished in 2001.
